Terms of Use Summary
Quick answer
You may use FiftyStatePay for free for personal, educational and professional reference. Our results are estimates, not tax, legal or financial advice. You may quote short parts and link to us, but you may not scrape, resell or misuse the site. We provide it as is, and our liability is limited as far as the law allows.
Accepting These Terms of Use
By using fiftystatepay.com, you agree to these terms of use and to our privacy policy, cookie policy and disclaimer. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. You must be old enough to form a binding agreement where you live.
What FiftyStatePay Provides
FiftyStatePay offers paycheck calculators, pay tools and guides about US payroll taxes. Also, we build them from public IRS and state rules, and we explain our method on the how we calculate page.
Every result is an estimate. Your employer’s payroll system decides what is actually withheld, so your real paycheck may differ. Also, nothing on the site creates a professional relationship between you and us.

- Share a link to any page, including a calculator result link.
- Quote short passages with credit and a link back to the page.
- Print or save your own results as a PDF or CSV.

Intellectual Property
The text, design, tables, calculator code and images on FiftyStatePay belong to the site owner, Hamza Akram, unless we say otherwise. The law protects them. Official tax rules, however, are public information, and nobody owns them.
The names IRS, Social Security Administration and state agency names belong to those agencies, so we use them only to describe the sources we follow. To report a copyright problem, read our DMCA and copyright policy.
Your Messages and Feedback
When you send a message, you confirm that it is yours to send and that it is truthful. You also allow us to use your feedback, such as a feature idea, to improve the site without paying you. Then we handle your details under our privacy policy.
Third-Party Links and Ads
Our pages link to the IRS, state agencies and other sites to help you check our sources. Google AdSense ads also appear on the site. We do not control those sites or ads, and a link or an ad is not an endorsement. Read the advertising disclosure for more.
Disclaimer of Warranties
We provide FiftyStatePay “as is” and “as available.” We work hard to keep it accurate, but we do not promise that it is error-free, complete, current or always online. Because tax rules change, a result may differ from your real paycheck. So you use the site at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, FiftyStatePay and its owner are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost income, savings or data, that comes from using the site or relying on a result. If a court finds us liable anyway, our total liability will not exceed $100.
When a place does not allow these limits, they apply as far as the law permits. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that cannot be waived.
Changes, Access and General Terms
We may change these terms of use, the site or any tool at any time. When we change the terms, we will update the date at the top. If you keep using the site after that, you accept the new terms.
We may also limit or block access if someone breaks these rules. If a part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms, with the pages they mention, are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
If you have a complaint, please contact us first so we can try to fix it informally.
